The ring is beautifully made, with milgrain finish edges and a channel where a plait of brown hair has been set. The head of the ring is a charmingly designed as a finely hand engraved and detailed buckle, with a small cartouche area for inscription or engraving, which is blank. The interior of the band has a presentation inscription, “John to--” a name we can't quite make out, that begins with A. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe ring itself is in great overall condition. The details of the belt and buckle design are nice and crisp.
