Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Magpie Plum Blossom Rock

Here is a Chinese flower and bird painting for the wall: a silk hanging scroll depicting magpie, plum blossom, a rock, and mountain. It sits comfortably within the gongbi flower painting tradition while keeping its own character. You can feel the brush moving: quick where the subject runs, slow where it rests.

In Chinese art, plum blossom, the flower that stands for perseverance; layered mountains receding into the haze. It is classical brushwork that carries the detail, while soft natural tones carry the light. The tall, narrow shape suits modern walls as well as it suited the old studios. The balance between magpie, plum blossom, and a rock and the surrounding soft natural tones feels exactly right. Around magpie, plum blossom, and a rock, the soft natural tones settle into a calm, unified field.

Near a window with sheer curtains, the silk seems to glow from within. A graceful choice for weddings and milestone birthdays.
