Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Plum Blossom, Bamboo, Flying Bird

Made for the wall, this Chinese flower and bird painting sets plum blossom and bamboo against silk in soft natural tones. For lovers of Chinese botanical wall art, the format will feel familiar and the subject fresh. The painter trusted the brush to do the talking, and it does.

Behind the beauty sits meaning: plum blossom, the flower that stands for perseverance, while bamboo, the emblem of the upright gentleman. The color work is all soft natural tones, laid on over classical brushwork with a steady hand. The tall, narrow shape suits modern walls as well as it suited the old studios. The painter's classical brushwork shows especially well in plum blossom and bamboo. Soft natural tones dominate the scene, but small accents keep plum blossom from getting lost.

Place it where conversation happens; it gives guests something worth looking at. A welcome gift for anyone setting up a first home.
