Landscape Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Birds River

This silk scroll is a fine example of the Chinese landscape scroll painting: waterfall, river, mountain, red sun, and birds, brought to life with classical brushwork. Seasoned buyers of Chinese mountain landscape wall decor will recognize the practiced hand at once. A quiet confidence runs through every stroke — nothing is overworked.

In Chinese art, a waterfall dropping in a pale thread; layered mountains receding into the haze. Layered washes in red tones do the quiet work beneath the confident linework. Ink on silk ages gracefully; the tones settle into a mellow richness over time. Waterfall is handled with particular care — the classical brushwork never slips into routine. Around waterfall, river, and mountain, the red tones settle into a calm, unified field.

It is equally at home in an apartment or a larger house — scale is on its side. It suits the friend who reads, paints, or drinks tea slowly.
