Lotus Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Maple Leaves Peacock

If Chinese lotus scroll painting is your thing, this silk hanging scroll will feel familiar at once: peacock and maple leaves. Anyone new to lotus silk wall art could start here — the subject explains itself. The painter knew when to stop — always the hardest lesson, and well learned here.

The symbolism runs deep: a peacock in full iridescent display, while maple leaves turning with the season. It is meticulous gongbi detail in rich color that carries the detail, while quiet, harmonious hues carry the light. The tall, narrow shape suits modern walls as well as it suited the old studios. What stays with you is peacock and maple leaves, set off by quiet, harmonious hues that flatter without competing. The painter's meticulous gongbi detail in rich color shows especially well in peacock and maple leaves.

Above a fireplace mantel, the vertical line balances the horizontal below. A meaningful gift for birthdays, housewarmings, and festivals.
