Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Butterfly

Made for the wall, this Chinese flower and bird painting sets peony and butterfly against silk in soft natural tones. For lovers of Chinese botanical wall art, the format will feel familiar and the subject fresh. The tall silk format suits the subject; peony gets the room it deserves.

Chinese viewers would read the scene at a glance: butterflies, symbols of joy and transformation, and peonies, the flower of wealth and honor. The surface rewards close looking: classical brushwork up close, soft natural tones from a step back. The silk surface catches light softly, so the piece looks alive under lamps as well as daylight. What stays with you is peony and butterfly, set off by soft natural tones that flatter without competing. The classical brushwork keeps peony crisp while letting the soft natural tones wash softly behind it.

In a bedroom, it replaces the television as the thing the eye rests on. A meaningful gift for birthdays, housewarmings, and festivals.
