Flower and Bird Chinese Scroll Painting – Silk Wall Art – Plum Blossom Moon

Collectors of Chinese flower and bird painting will recognize the format immediately — silk scroll, plum blossom and moon, classical brushwork. Seasoned buyers of gongbi flower painting will recognize the practiced hand at once. Look along the edges and you will find the small, confident touches that mark a practiced hand.

The symbolism runs deep: plum blossom, the flower that stands for perseverance, while a full moon hanging in the sky. Technically, the piece rests on classical brushwork, with soft natural tones carrying the mood. Silk holds mineral color beautifully, and the palette here was chosen with that in mind. Plum blossom is handled with particular care — the classical brushwork never slips into routine. The arrangement of plum blossom and moon feels found rather than forced — nothing placed merely for effect.

A quiet corner of the dining room gains real presence with a scroll like this. For colleagues, it strikes the right note between formal and warm.
